How Do Dogs Show Affection?
Dogs are very expressive of their affection toward their owners. A dog's face shows a lot. Much like people, dogs' facial expressions convey their emotional state so it's easy to see that they're showing their affection through their eyes and the way they smile or grin. Dogs also show their feelings through a variety of actions. They wag their tail differently for how happy they are, such as when they're excited to greet their owners coming home. They lean their body against you or lean their head on your lap. They jump up and down or even toward you. They press their nose against you to get your attention. They even lick you. They would follow you around. They would bring you toys so you could play or just to show how much they respect you. And they would roll right in front of you so you would rub their belly. All these just to get closer and bond with their favorite person.
