How Long Can Dogs Hold Pee?
The general rule of thumb is that dogs can hold in their pee for 6-8 hours, or in extreme cases, 10-15 hours straight. However, this is not something that should become common practice because it can lead to long-term health issues.
The timeframe also depends on the dog’s age, size, breed and training.
Usually, a puppy will pee more often than an adult dog, as well as the fact that older dogs will also suffer from the same “issue”.
To summarize, even if dogs can hold their pee in for 10-15 hours, you should not resort to this because it can lead to, either, “accidents” in the house or some bladder-related health issues for your dog.
Establishing a set time for walks can help a lot with establishing proper pee times as well.
